Onsite Services
Care In Your Townhouse
Should you, with time, require additional support we can arrange the following:
- Chatsford residents can receive a Hospitality Service Package which offers a full meal service, housekeeping services and limited personal assistance. We stress "limited personal assistance" as this service package is not intended to offer "rest home equivalent care" in a home setting.
- Additional personal support can be arranged for individual residents on a cost recovery only basis. The services offered to residents at Chatsford are intended to be just that- services. Financially they have to break even but management does not see them as a profit centre and any surplus they generate is applied back into the Community to the benefit of all residents.
- Residents are entitled to the same community support services they would have access to in the wider community, including government funded home help and personal assistance. These are allocated by Service Co-ordinators on a need basis. We will help you lobby for these services but do not have any control over their allocation.
Services In Your Apartment
Glenbrook Apartment residents enjoy the same benefits as their Chatsford neighbours including optional meal and house keeping services. Glenbrook Apartments offer a good balance between independence and supported living and are an excellent choice of residence for those not requiring the space afforded by a Chatsford townhouse.
On-site Residential care
Chatsford is fortunate to be sited adjacent to the Birchleigh Residential Care Centre  which is a modern and yet homely, purpose built 24 hour care facility catering for the frail elderly. It contains three separate facilities.
- A General Rest Home
- Specialist Dementia Care Unit
- A Long Stay Hospital
In addition to offering long term care, the Birchleigh Residential Care Centre also caters for those times when you may just need a day or week of intense support such as:
- Convalescent Care (after an operation)
- Day Care
- Respite Care
- Carer Support (these options can be used to give a spouse/caregiver a little respite)
Although Chatsford and the Birchleigh Residential Care Centre are separate entities, Chatsford residents are given priority access to Birchleigh Residential Care Centre should they require this level of care.
